3 Bays Running Festival
30km Trail - Saturday 31st October

Community Bank-Heywood and District
30km Trail Run

New to the 3 Bays Running Festival, the 30km Coastal Trail Run has been introduced in response to popular demand, offering the perfect mix of challenge, adventure and spectacular coastal scenery.

Starting high above the coastline, runners are treated to breath taking panoramic views across Bridgewater Bay before joining the iconic Great South West Walk towards Portland. The course takes in the historic Cape Nelson Lighthouse and follows spectacular coastal trails, with sweeping ocean views and rugged landscapes throughout much of the journey.

The trail continues along the stunning coastline before finishing on the picturesque foreshore of Portland Bay, right in the heart of the annual Portland Upwelling Festival.

Whether you're looking to take on your first longer trail distance, stepping up towards an ultra, or simply want to experience an unforgettable day on the trails, the 30km Coastal Trail Run is the perfect challenge.

With a generous 7-hour cut-off, there is plenty of time to enjoy the course, take in the scenery and complete the challenge at your own pace. This makes the 30km an achievable and welcoming step up for runners coming from shorter distances, while still providing a fantastic challenge for more experienced trail runners.

With beautiful single-track trails, rugged coastline, spectacular views and plenty of adventure along the way, this is trail running at its best.

Challenge yourself. Experience one of Victoria's most spectacular coastal trails, and discover why Portland is one of the best kept secrets in the trail running community.
